THE ASSEMBLY OF THE QUEEN OF MERCY GROTTO AT SLATON, TEXAS

In A beginning there was a Pecan Tree. The next 14 pictures shows the progression of this endeavor and also the parking lot had some weeds that I removed.
The inspiration is to make a Grotto in this tree.
As you can see, this is a rather large task.
Victor (A messenger from Heaven) removed the limbs for me. The next few pictures shows him topping the tree in a few minutes.
Victor is high up to finish breaking a limb with his foot and kinda holding on to another dead limb.
Yes indeed, In a few minutes all of these limbs were separated from the pecan tree and I was able to pick them up in a FEW DAYS.

I did a little more trimming before installing the cave box.
The box and Statue are carefully measured.
The box will fit in this approximate location.
Just the fit with the Banner picture secured to the back of the box.
Outside light is installed and gray protective cover.
Special rocks were brought in.
A cross, St. Michael the arch angel, and 3 small angels, praying, were added.
A glass is placed in the front to keep the Statue clean and dry and RED ROSES were planted.

AND IN NOVEMBER 2023 THE GROTTO HAS 3 KNEELERS JUST LIKE A FAMILY (HUSBANDS, WIVES AND CHILDREN) ARE INVITED TO PRAY THEIR INTENTIONS BEFORE GOD.

And on 4-27-2024 we have MANY different flowers/blooms in our GROTTO.
